The Arkel Tide is a compact dual-boiler espresso machine with a gear pump, developed for users who want quiet operation, precise flow profiling, and the option of direct water and drain connections. With a central body just 275 mm wide, the Tide brings the ergonomics of a serious café setup into a home-friendly format.
The continuous gear pump delivers stable flow without the pulsation typical of vibration pumps, while electronic flow control and a needle valve enable precise shaping of the extraction. PID temperature control, programmable pre-infusion, a shot timer, and programmable dosing provide a high level of control without complicating the daily workflow.
Like the Coast, the Tide is designed with durability and serviceability in mind. Arkel states that the hot-water circuit contains no plastic hoses; the hot-water lines between the electronically controlled boilers are made of stainless steel. With fast heat-up, a plumb-in option, and separate brew and steam boilers, the Tide is intended for demanding home baristas who want a more professional setup without a large footprint.
